Honorary Consul for the Republic of Lithuania since 1995, General Consul in Venice since 2001.
Organised numerous meetings and trips with Italian and Lithuanian entrepreneurs for exchange and/or investment purposes.
As Consul and together with entrepreneurs from the Vicenza province, he promoted the building of a family-village in Marjampole, Lithuania,made up of 12 houses accommodating approximately 120 children.
Co-promoter of the "Business-Village", thanks to which 15 Italian companies established branches in Lithuania.
Advocated the participation of Lithuania in the Venice Biennale in collaboration with the "Soros Center of the Contemporary Arts" in Vilnius.
In 1998, he promoted and organised a visit to Lithuania of a TG 1 RAI (Italian state TV) troupe to shoot 6 TV reports that were broadcast on national TV and even appeared in "Domenica In" and other RAI programmes promoting various initiatives on behalf of Lithuania.
Together with painter Paolo Giaretta and photographer Silvano Chiappin, he organised an exhibition on Lithuania.
In 2001 he collaborated with SKY to promote the realisation of TV reports on "Tourist Lithuania" as well as other 8 reports on Rai national TV.
Together with the Lithuanian Ambassador in Italy, he took part in the international conference "Lithuania for Europe" held in Vilnius and organised by the Lithuanian Ministry for European Affairs.
Collaborated with the Kaunas and Venice Universities in the organisation of a convention on "family businesses" in Kaunas, and activated internships for 15 Lithuanian students in Venetian companies.
In 2002, he cooperated with the British consul to organise a meeting of the Consular Corp of Venice with Card. Giovanni Cheli, UN Apostolic Nuncio in New York to talk about the "Presence of the Holy See in the international community".
Organised numerous meetings on Lithuanian culture and music.
Welcomed a large number of Lithuanian students, citizens and basketball teams at the Consulate. Particular attention was dedicated to those Lithuanian citizens eager to learn more about Italian culture, art and territory, especially after the country obtained its independence.
Supports and collaborates with the Lithuanian "Dante Alighieri" association through the unforgettable and outstanding professor Arun as Pakula.
In 2004, took part in the inauguration of the European Union Square during Europe Day in Portogruaro (VE).
Organised an important photographic exhibition in Venice on Lithuanian theatre under Soviet rule with photos taken from the State archive.
In 2007, worked with "La Casa di Stefano" President Marino Finozzi to build a family home for orphans and abandoned children.
Organised and sponsored a meeting of the Consul Corp of Venice with Card. Tonini, chaired by journalist and director Luigi Bacialli, concerning "moral and ethical philosophy".
Organised a meeting on economic issues held at the Lithuanian consulate with ENI CEO Vittorio Mincato and palaeontologist Giancarlo Ligabue.
In March 2009, to celebrate the Lithuanian National Holiday, the Consul organised a meeting in Schio to present "Vilnius, European city of culture 2009" and promote other cultural events in Venice.
Organised a photo exhibition on Lithuania at the Veneto Regional Council (Palazzo Ferro Fini), attended by the Regional Council President and all Regional councillors.
Organised the visit of the Lithuanian Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius.
In 2011, the Consul supported and partly sponsored the publication of the book "Confini della modernità - Lituani, non Lituani e stato nazionale nella Lituania del XX secolo", written and edited by dr. Andrea Griffante.
He is also a representative of the Consul Corp, an advisor on trade and tourism for individuals, associations and companies and also provides assistance to Lithuanian citizens.
